The Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) in Utrecht will take place in a slimmed-down form from 26 September to 3 October this year, following the loss of municipal subsidies for 2025-2028. Important components such as the Directors' Forum and the Junior Golden Calves Gala will be cancelled. Artistic director Ido Abram emphasises that the focus is on celebrating Dutch films and stimulating encounters between the public and professionals. The Golden Calves will continue to exist.
