Actress Sigrid Koetse has died at the age of 89, her family has announced. Koetse, born in Haarlem, was a prominent extra in Dutch theatre and also played in television series such as Baantjer and Oppassen!!!. She studied at the Amsterdam Theatre School in the 1950s and was associated with companies such as the Nederlandse Comedie and Toneelgroep Amsterdam for a long time. Koetse received the Theo d'Or in 1988 and was appointed Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau in 1996. She was married to Jan Retèl.
