At the 47th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, which focused on themes of conflict and peace, Damian Walshe-Howling's "Unspoken" won the International Grand Prix. The Australian film deals with the impact of politics on personal lives in Sydney 1979. The National Grand Prix went to Mohamed Bourouissa's "Genealogy of Violence," an experimental film about racial profiling in France. Other awards included the Best Animation Award for Anastasiia Falileieva's "I Died in Irpin" and the Audience Award for Maha Haj's "Upshot."
