Igor Bezinović has won the Tiger Award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam for his hybrid documentary "Fiume o morte!". The film, receiving the prize worth €40,000, explores the life of Gabriele D'Annunzio, who occupied the city of Fiume in 1919. The jury praised the film for treating the past as a living reality at a time of rising ultra-nationalism in Europe. Special jury awards went to "The Tree of Authenticity" by Sammy Baloji and "Im Haus meiner Eltern" by Tim Ellrich, each worth €10,000.
