Dutch animator Vera van Wolferen discusses her animated film "Down in the Dumps", selected for the Berlinale. The film tells the story of ladybug Cinelli, who falls into a depression after her shell is stolen by cockroach Peri. Inspired by life advice from her mother, Van Wolferen shows how Cinelli finds her happiness again after confronting her problems. The film, a mix of 3D worlds and 2D characters, took three and a half years to complete and was produced by Family Affair Films.
