The European Audiovisual Observatory has launched OPUS, a database that provides insight into the application of media laws in EU countries and some other European countries. OPUS allows users to compare national legislation and quotas for audiovisual productions. The database contains links to national laws and can export overviews as Excel files. Maja Cappello and Justine Radel-Cormann from the EAO emphasize that OPUS is intended for policymakers, professionals and researchers to simplify complex legal frameworks.
