Limburg is taking an important step towards a fully-fledged film industry with the opening of CineSud Studio in Heerlen. This new film incubator offers more than 500m2 of space for film and audiovisual activities and has the potential to expand by another 1250m2. Located at the Stationsplein, it offers facilities such as workshop and production spaces, a post-production studio, and a podcast studio. CineSud, the driving force behind this development, has supported local filmmakers since 2012 and initiated projects such as an international film database and an online film academy.
