The Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF) has published a report on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in audiovisual projects. The study, conducted in collaboration with Howest DAE Research and legal experts, shows that AI is used relatively little, despite the diversity of arguments for and against its use. The study examined the use of AI in various project categories such as fiction, animation and documentaries. There is uncertainty about how AI is defined in end products and there is a lack of knowledge about AI legislation. The VAF is planning a follow-up study to further investigate the trends.
