The International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) 2025 will highlight the Dutch VR sector, with works such as "Lacuna" by Maartje Wegdam and Nienke Huitenga Broeren. This work deals with war trauma and loss and tells the story of Sonja, an 85-year-old woman who lost her parents in World War II. Other notable VR projects include "Show Me the Light — VR Silent Disco" by Mila Moleman, an energetic dance experience, and "Otherworlds" by Sophia Bulgakova, who combines Ukrainian folklore with technology.
