In an interview with SEE NL, Dutch producer Marleen Slot discusses her involvement in two major co-productions: Sophie Hyde's "Jimpa," which screened at Sundance, and Gabriel Mascaro's "O último azul" (The Blue Trail), which was selected for competition in Berlin. Slot, who works out of Viking Film, primarily produces one film every two years and takes a minority stake in about two films per year. "Jimpa" is set in Amsterdam and tells a personal story of Hyde, while "O último azul" follows an intriguing story in the Amazon. Slot will present her film "Reedland" later in 2025.
