Bernard Kobes, CEO and chairman of BumaStemra since 2019, passed away on January 20, 2025. Before his time at BumaStemra, he held management positions at NOB Registratie, DutchView, and Ericsson Broadcast Services NL, among others. He was also active at NPO Radio 6 and NLPO. In 2017, he started Media Adviseurs Nederland. Bernard, also a musician and trombonist with the Ceresband, had been ill since the summer of 2023. Marcel Gelauff took over his role since November 2023.
