On 1 January 2025, the Czech Film Fund was transformed into the Czech Audiovisual Fund (CAF), after a multi-year preparation process. The change introduces expanded incentives and new funding categories for both domestic and international projects. The fund now also supports series and video games, in addition to traditional film projects. Funding is divided into four categories, including new categories for small screen projects and animation & video games. The changes are intended to sustainably grow the Czech audiovisual sector and increase its international visibility.
