Gaby Cochavi, a 2019 Script Academy graduate, has a rich background in healthcare that provides her with an inexhaustible source of inspiration. She published a picture book and wrote for the series Broodje Aap and the Netflix project New Voices. Her script for the telefilm Project Herbert, broadcast by AVROTROS, was nominated for the Golden Calf for best screenplay. Cochavi, who now writes full-time and works part-time in a nursing home, sees writing as a learning process and balances between drama and comedy in her work. She admires writers such as Joke van Leeuwen, Toon Tellegen and Kim van Kooten for their unique styles.
