In an interview with SEE NL, director Marten Visser discusses his short animation film Skroll, inspired by the random videos he came across while scrolling on his phone. The film shows a fantasy world with shape-shifting animals and people who capture these bizarre events with their mobile phones. Visser, who won a Wild Card of €50,000 from the Netherlands Film Fund in 2020, used this opportunity to explore his animation ambitions with the help of producers Michiel Snijders and Arnoud Rijken of il Luster. Skroll has been selected for two programs at the short film festival in Clermont-Ferrand.
