Brussels documentary maker Bram Van Paesschen has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 45. Van Paesschen, known for his documentary 'Empire of Dust' about the Chinese presence in Africa, was praised for his unique and committed view of the world. His work, including “World of Blue”, “Land of O”, “Pale Peko Bantu” and “I'm New Here”, regularly won awards and was internationally recognized. In addition to being a director, he was also active as an editor. His death is deeply mourned in the film world.
