David Lynch has died, his family announced on Facebook on Thursday. The 78-year-old American director had announced earlier this year in an interview with People that he had emphysema due to years of smoking. Lynch directed the films Eraserhead, Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive. He was also responsible for a number of series, including Twin Peaks.
