Huub Stapel, 70, has expressed his opinion on the current conditions for recording intimate scenes in films in the NPO Radio 1 programme MISCHA! He finds the rules, including the requirement to give permission in triplicate, excessive. Stapel recalls previous experiences with co-stars such as Monique van de Ven and Mary Steenburgen, where spontaneity was paramount. Although he acknowledges the safety that intimacy coordinators offer, he believes that the regulations have gone too far. Stapel has decided not to go naked or French kiss in films anymore.
