The family film Mees Kees on his own two feet by director Pieter van Rijn has achieved Golden Film status with 100,000 visitors. In the film, it is time for Mees Kees to stand on his own two feet and his class is working on a secret project. Lead actors Leendert de Ridder, Sanne Wallis de Vries, Jochen Otten, Tamara Brinkman, Pauline Wingelaar, Chloé Leenheer, director Pieter van Rijn, screenwriter Tijs van Marle and producer Frank Groenveld received the Golden Film. It is the first presentation of the Golden Film in January 2025. The Golden Film Award is an initiative of the Netherlands Film Festival, with support from the Netherlands Film Fund and the Abraham Tuschinski Fund.
