On Thursday 30 January 2025, Beeld & Geluid will organise the third Hague Cultural Speech in Amare, The Hague. Mark Deuze, a leading media scholar and professor of Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam, will speak about the health crisis among creative professionals. His speech will highlight the high levels of stress, burn-outs and depression in the sector, but also the relative happiness of these workers. Deuze, who will publish his research in mid-2025, will address three core questions to promote a healthy cultural sector.
