In the documentary "Verdwenen Stad" by Emmy Award winner Willy Lindwer, the unknown role of the Amsterdam tram during the Second World War is highlighted. This tram collaborated with the Nazi occupiers and was responsible for the deportation of tens of thousands of Jews, including Anne Frank and her family. Together with Guus Luijters, Lindwer investigates this story by crossing the city with the original tram and speaks to the last survivors. The documentary, which sheds new light on the murder of the Amsterdam Jews, will be broadcast on NPO 2.
