The six-part documentary series De Opvolging, directed by Willemiek Kluijfhout and produced by Southfields Stories for Omroep MAX, follows the Boer family and chef Nelson Tanate in the renowned three-star restaurant De Librije. Jonnie and Thérèse Boer, the founders, prepare for a gradual withdrawal from the company, while their children Jimmie and Isabelle and chef Nelson Tanate become the new co-owners. The series, which will be shown on NPO 2 from 16 February, highlights the challenges of transferring a family business and the efforts to retain the prestigious three Michelin stars.
