At the Golden Globes ceremony, which took place in Los Angeles, Emilia Pérez was the big winner with four awards, including best film, musical or comedy and for foreign language film. The film, directed by Jacques Audiard, tells the story of a drug lord in transition. Nicole Kidman missed out on an award for her role in Babygirl, directed by Halina Reijn. The Brutalist and Shogun also won awards. Demi Moore won the award for best actress in a musical or comedy for her role in The Substance.
