On December 21, 2024, 23 Dutch cinemas will celebrate Short Film Day, a European tradition that shows a selection of short films on the shortest day of the year. The program includes five Dutch short films: "Marleen" by Jop Leuven, "City of Poets" by Sara Rajaei, "Moustache" by Idriss Nabil, "Skroll" by Marten Visser, and "January" by Jetske Lieber. In addition, there is a special half-hour children's program with six international films. This initiative emphasizes the importance of short films, which often receive less attention in cinema.
