The International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) has announced the competition titles for its 2025 edition, including films for the Tiger Competition, Big Screen Competition and Tiger Short Competition. Cate Blanchett and Guy Maddin will add to the glamour with their presence. The Tiger Competition, with a jury consisting of Yuki Aditya, Soheila Golestani, Winnie Lau, Peter Strickland and Andrea Luka Zimmerman, promises €40,000 for the winner and two Special Jury Awards of €10,000 each. The competition emphasizes European and Asian films, with exceptions such as L'arbre de l'authenticité and La gran historia de la filosofía occidental. The Big Screen Competition and Tiger Short Competition also feature Dutch entries. The festival also offers IFFR Talks with prominent guests such as Blanchett, Maddin and others, who will speak on a variety of film-related topics.
