The fifth edition of the Cinekid Directors LAB will take place in Amsterdam in April 2025, with a selection of seven directors from nine countries, including for the first time a non-European project from Colombia. Participants include Martijn de Jong with "Movies showing nowhere", Phillip Donnellon with "The Reef", Viko Nikci with the adaptation of the Irish play "Holy Mary", Natascha Beller with "Splish Splash Forever!" and Liv Karin Dahlstrøm with the coming-of-age drama "Sanna". Giselle Geney will present "The potato flower", developed during the Cinekid Script LAB. The LAB, focused on filmmaking for young audiences, has proven to be an essential program, with successful projects such as "Sea Sparkle", "Kiddo" and "I Accidentally Wrote A Book".
