René Hazekamp, filmmaker and editor, has died at the age of 62. He worked on several notable productions, including "Ten Monologues from the Lives of the Serial Killers" (Aryan Kaganof, 1994) and "Schuldenaars" (Ingeborg Jansen, 2015). His documentary "De Onplaatsbaren" (2012) earned him a nomination for the Critics Week Award at the Locarno Film Festival. "Gangway to a Future" (2018) shows a rescue mission on the Libyan coast. "Indië Verloren..." (In Soo Radstake, 2023) has been nominated for the Golden Calf for Best Long Documentary in 2024.
