Production company Het Volk, founded by Dibbes Verbeek and Matthijs Kleyn, is celebrating the success of their tenth production, with two more to come. Their work ranges from a documentary about Nelson Mandela to a reality show about Rotterdam city manager Mitchel Viljeer, always with the focus on the people. Their documentary about Antonie Kamerling, based on the book "Nu ik je zie" by Matthijs, was well received. Despite successes such as a Tegel for "Het M-woord", they acknowledge the challenge of keeping the company going between big projects. Their goal is to find a long-running hit, as they hoped with "Mitchel aan de Maas", but which did not live up to expectations.
