The VAF Wildcards, the largest film awards in Belgium with a total amount of 206,000 euros, were awarded again this year. These awards, intended for graduating students from Flemish film or art schools, offer winners financial support and coaching for their first extracurricular project. New this year is the integration of the Wildcards in VAF Next Generation and the introduction of Booster Cards for extra support. 54 master films and 4 screenplays were submitted, with five winners and five Booster Cards. Successful predecessors such as Leonardo van Dijl and Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah demonstrate the impact of this award.
