In "Where Dragons Live," a documentary by Suzanne Raes, four adults are followed as they tame their childhood dragons by cleaning out the family home, Cumnor Place, after the death of their mother, Jane. This fairytale mansion, filled with dragons in the form of paintings, statues, and even a Komodo dragon preserved in formaldehyde, is being prepared for sale. Raes, who followed the family for two years, explores themes such as legacy, family dynamics, and the transition from childhood to adulthood. The documentary, which offers insight into how the position within the family influences parenting and how children eventually come to see their parents as normal people, premiered at IDFA.
