The Amsterdam-Amstelland Fire Department (BAA) is participating in the shooting of Amsterdamned 2, the sequel to Dick Maas' 1988 thriller. Vehicles and team members of BAA will appear in the film, thanks in part to the efforts of a set dresser who is also a firefighter. Commander Tijs van Lieshout and spokesperson Carmen Westra even make a mini appearance. Huub Stapel returns as detective Eric Visser, with Holly Mae Brood in a new leading role. The premiere is scheduled for December 2025.
