Petra Lataster-Czisch and Peter Lataster will present their new documentary "All is Well" at IDFA, which focuses on the story of Ukrainian grandmothers who seek refuge in Amsterdam as war continues in their homeland. Filmed in Weesp, the documentary focuses on the impact of displacement on personal relationships and future ambitions, especially from the perspective of older Ukrainian women. The film shows intimate moments of mourning and reunion, and emphasizes how these women stay connected to their culture through food. Despite fears about political developments in the Netherlands, the filmmakers build a strong bond with their subjects. "All is Well" was financed with support from the Netherlands Film Fund and HUMAN TV Channel, among others.
