Director Hannah van Tassel has won the NPO Documentary Talent Award 2024 with her film plan ADRIFT during the IDFA festival in Amsterdam. The award, a development grant of €25,000 from the NPO Fund, recognizes original voices and urgent topics in documentary making. The jury, chaired by Suzanne Raes, praised ADRIFT for its poetic approach and ability to give a local story universal value. The award, formerly known as the Karen de Bok Talent Award, supports the further development of the documentary plan.
