Filmfestival Oostende (FFO) celebrates its seventeenth edition in 2025 with actress and director Charlotte Vandermeersch as Master. Vandermeersch chooses the theme SUPER NATURAL, which explores the relationship between natural and supernatural forces. The festival, which runs from 31 January to 8 February, announces the world premieres of the Flemish films 'Soft Leaves' by Miwako Van Weyenberg and the documentary 'Like They Walk On The Moon' by Frederik Carbon. In addition, the opening film is 'Comeback' by Jan and Raf Roosens. Vandermeersch, known for her versatile career in theatre, film and television, and her directorial debut awarded with the Jury Prize in Cannes, puts together a Master selection that explores the boundaries of the rational and offers both escapism and reflection.
