On the opening night of IDFA on November 14, filmmaker Festus Toll was awarded the Cultuurfonds Documentaire Stipendium 2024 for his documentary "The Story of Ne Kuko". This prize, worth 50,000 euros and made possible by an anonymous donor, was presented at the Royal Theater Carré. The grant enables Toll to make a new film. His work, which often explores moral issues and the search for identity, is praised for its whimsical, experimental style and ability to address universal themes.
