Evalotte Oosterop has won a European Film Award in the Make-up & Hair category for her work on the Icelandic film When the Light Breaks, directed by Rúnar Rúnarsson. The film, which follows the lives of young couple Una and Diddi and their tragic fate after a tunnel accident in Iceland, was the opening film of the Un Certain Regard programme in Cannes and will be shown in Dutch cinemas from 13 February 2025. The jury praised Oosterop for her creative combination of classic hairstyles with unique elements that fit the story well.
