Two Flemish films will be highlighted at IDFA. "The Jacket" by Mathijs Poppe tells the story of Jamal Hindawi, a Palestinian man in exile in Beirut, who makes political theatre. The film explores the impact of political and economic crises in the region. "Yalla, Baba!" by Angie Obeid is a road trip film in which she and her father Mansour relive his journey from Belgium to Lebanon, 42 years later, to understand his decisions and the changed world. Both films offer an in-depth look at personal and political themes.
