The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) has launched the agenda “Imagination through Insight and Collaboration” to strengthen the Dutch audiovisual sector. The focus is on collaboration between public and private parties and improving the quality and visibility of Dutch films, series and documentaries. From 2024, streaming services such as Netflix and Videoland must invest in local productions. Extra attention is also paid to talent development through internships and work experience at regional talent hubs. The effectiveness of these measures will be evaluated in 2027.
