The Brussels Art Film Festival (BAFF) will take place in Brussels from 13 to 17 November for its 23rd edition, showcasing 32 documentaries on art and artistic creations in venues such as Palace, Cinematek, Bozar and Iselp. The festival opens with Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal's "They Shot the Piano Player", an ode to jazz and bossa nova, and introduces Brazil as guest of honour. The Belgian competition will feature works by 14 filmmakers. Internationally, films from various countries will be shown, closing with Raoul Peck's documentary on Ernest Cole. The BAFF will highlight both Belgian and international artists and promises a rich experience of artistic and cinematographic discoveries.
