Dok Leipzig, the German festival that runs from October 28 to November 3, 2024, presents a selection of Dutch documentaries this year. Mariia Ponomarova's "Nice Ladies" highlights the lives of a team of elderly Ukrainian cheerleaders who deal with war trauma in their own way. Anneke de Lind van Wijngaarden's "Nelson the Piglet" tells the story of an adventurous piglet for young viewers. Kinshuk Surjan's "Marching in the Dark" explores the first steps of a resilient women's movement. These films are supported by the Netherlands Film Fund.
