Hans Kemna, the founder of Kemna Casting, has passed away at the age of 84 after a short illness. This news was shared by colleagues, including actor Jochum ten Haaf and director Frank Krom. Kemna, who came from a family of actors, started his career as an actor and appeared in the TV series Floris with Rutger Hauer. In 1970 he founded Hans Kemna Casting, which grew into an influential casting agency in the Netherlands. He was also casting director at Toneelgroep Amsterdam (now ITA) until 2022. After disturbing stories about successor Job Gosschalk in 2017, Kemna suggested renaming the agency to Post Castelijn Casting.
