Cinekid, the leading audiovisual event for children and young people, will take place this year from 19 October to 3 November in Amsterdam and at more than 40 locations in the Netherlands. Festival director Heleen Rouw, Hidde de Vries (Head of Films & Series) and Leonieke Verhoog (Head of MediaLab) emphasize the unique position of Cinekid in the international field by focusing on the entire ecosystem of children's content. The festival offers a wide range of films, series and interactive experiences in the MediaLab. In addition, there is a specific program for professionals, including a Script Lab and a Director's Lab focused on children's content. The opening will be celebrated with the Dutch animation "Benjamin Bat" and the Dutch-Hungarian co-production "I Accidentally Wrote A Book" will have its world premiere in Amsterdam.
