Daan Blommers, a 24-year-old director and screenwriter, has filmed the Brabant war drama "Burgemeestersmoord", a story about the murder of two mayors and an anti-German entrepreneur during the Second World War. Without a professional cast, crew or significant budget, but with the support of the municipality and local sponsors, Blommers has made a film that is now successfully showing in Vue and Pathé cinemas. The film, which is mainly about leadership, was made with volunteer actors, including the grandson of a surviving entrepreneur, and has already sold more than 10,000 tickets.
