Lilian Sijbesma, director and screenwriter, has won the Burny Bos Eigenwijsprijs 2024 and will receive it on October 20 at the opening of the Cinekid Festival. The prize, including €5,000 from the VandenEnde Foundation, recognizes her contribution to children's films and series. Sijbesma, who graduated in 2011, has worked on various projects including the International Emmy Award-winning series KABAM! and her feature film debut Onder de Blote Hemel. The prize, in honor of Burny Bos and awarded by Cinekid, stimulates youth filmmakers in their development.
