The 67th edition of DOK Leipzig, one of the largest European documentary film festivals, has announced its full line-up. The festival, which takes place from 28 October to 3 November, will screen 73 feature and short films, including 33 world premieres. Films by Dominique Cabrera, Adelina Borets, Maria Mauti and Francesca Scalisi, among others, will compete for the Golden and Silver Doves in four categories. Festival director Christoph Terhechte emphasised the diversity and complexity of the films, which offer alternatives to the status quo and give hope. The competition includes both documentaries and animated films from different parts of the world, with topics ranging from personal stories to political issues. A total of 209 films and XR works from 55 countries will be presented.
