The Chicago International Film Festival, which runs from October 16 to 27, presents an impressive selection of Dutch films. Among the featured films is "ALPHA." by Jan-Willem van Ewijk, an existential adventure about a young snowboard instructor and his father in the snowy mountains, which won the Europa Cinemas Label as Best European Film in Venice. Also shown is the documentary short "You can't get what you want but you can get me" by Samira Elagoz & Z Walsh, about two trans men in love, which won an award at the Leiden Shorts festival. In addition, there are various Dutch (co-)productions in different sections, including works by Marcelo Caetano, Truong Minh Quý, Halfdan Ullman Tøndel, Mahdi Fleifel, Payal Kapadia and Rúnar Rúnarsson.
