Twenty years after the murder of Theo van Gogh, BNNVARA is releasing a documentary about the controversial media maker. The series, entitled "Theo van Gogh, the Hunkering", contains archive material and testimonies from intimates and colleagues. Director David de Jongh promises a revealing portrait of Van Gogh, who was known for his provocative media appearances. Van Gogh was murdered in Amsterdam on 2 November 2004 by Mohammed B. because of his criticism of Islam. The documentary can be seen on NPO2 from 14 October.
