Bobbie Koek's film "Paradijs", which premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival 2024, explores the complexities of parenthood through the eyes of young father Noah. Inspired by her own experiences as a new mother, Koek wanted to show a more nuanced view of parenthood, especially from the perspective of a teenage father. The film combines themes of freedom, growing up and identity. Koek criticizes the pitch process for film funds and shares a defining moment in her career: an internship with Mijke de Jong. "Paradijs" will be in theaters from October 31.
