Tim Ewalts presents his short film "Astro" at the Netherlands Film Festival 2024. The film explores the twilight zone between spirituality and fraud in a paranormal call center, inspired by Astro TV. Main character Emily, a timid woman without a spiritual sense, tries to survive as a telephone medium. Inspired by his childhood memories of Astro TV, Ewalts wanted to explore the complex dynamics between sincerity and deceit. He dreams of various projects, including a film in America, and encourages the Dutch audience to appreciate more adventurous domestic films.
