Film Fest Gent 2024, which will take place from 9 to 20 October, unveils an adventurous programme for its 51st edition, with films about farewells, commemorations and the mixing of fact and fiction. The generative film 'Eno' will have its premiere, and actress Emily Watson and director Michel Khleifi will receive a Joseph Plateau Award. The opening film is 'Small Things Like These' by Tim Mielants, starring Emily Watson and Cillian Murphy, among others. The festival will show 95 feature films and 29 short films, including award winners from major international festivals. The competition focuses on the impact of sound and music on film, with twelve participating films. Robbie Ryan will lead the international jury that will award the film prizes.
