During the Netherlands Film Festival, the Louis Hartlooper Prize for best film publication was awarded to Jaap Cohen for his book "De bolle Gogh", a biography of filmmaker Theo van Gogh, who was murdered in 2004. Kevin Toma received the oeuvre prize for his years of contribution to film journalism. The jury praised Cohen's work for its balanced portrayal of Van Gogh and noted that many entries shed light on the male-dominated film world from the 1970s to 2000. This year marks the twentieth presentation of the prize, which is intended to stimulate writing about film.
